STYLE DEMO: Battlefield 3 (http://battlefield3forums.com)
************************************************

************** IMPORTANT **************

As VB 4.0.6 is still buggy, when exporting styles not all edits are carried over.. to emulate the CMS Article preview look seen on Battlefield3Forums.com you will need to MANUALLY ADD the VBCMS.CSS TEMPLATE CODE... I have included the code within the package in a TXT file called: VBCMS.txt <---- COPY ALL OF THIS TEMPLATE CODE and replace all of the VBCMS.css text... Please read the included READ-ME!!!.txt file for instructions.

Installation:

- Import the BF3.XML
- Upload the "BF3" Folder to you image vBulletin dir: hxxp://example.com/images/bf3
- Open up VBCMS.css (bf3 style) delete / replace all of this code with the text in the included VBCMS.txt file.

Again this is the Minimal version, i intend of heavily modding my BF3 site, once this is complete i will upload here..

Support:
MARK AS INSTALLED for support, Support will be offered via the forums or pm.

Enjoy Guys...

PS... sorry for the strict footer link requirements, but of late people have been stealing my work and uploading on warez sites.. not only this they are removing my footer links and adding their own, these styles as you know take a lot of time and effort, i am kind enough to release these for free so please respect these requirements. Thanks

fb connect image over logo??

Make a smaller logo :S ... reduce the width of the logo by 50px or use the header padding to push the image down a few pixels.

510px in width does the trick

That static background makes scrolling really laggy, Also the sticky here:
http://battlefield3forums.com/f7/

Is white and on hover it's black.

TY Alex fixing now.. will update the package shortly....

To anyone who has already downloaded.. you can fix this by going to STYLEVARS/THREADBIT/THREADBIT_HILITE_BACKGROUND change this color to suit your needs.. i am using this color on the bf3 site: #C5020E

As for the static background... let me look into this, i can make it scroll with the rest of the style hopefully this stops the lag.. the other options are using a plain doc_bg color (looks very plain then).

EDIT: ive reduced the quality of the background image.. this has reduced the lag.. refresh my site... and save the bg image and upload into the style folder on your server/site.. see if that helps. (image reduced from 170kb to 40kb now), i will implement a jquery plugin to cache the background image so it can be used at full quality in the next few days.

That skin needs a lot of work it's full of bugs.

VB 4 may be buggy but our members like it, everyone was getting fed up with how the old vb 3 looked

Isn't it funny how people around here do nothing but try and put people down... all things considering it's FREE if you want to go pay $30- for a Premium style.. then do so.. then you have the rights to say it's buggy....

Considering I have designed about 30+ vb styles to date... each of my styles address 10+ style bugs that vbulletin.com have still ignored..

nothing worse then knobs like you who criticize peoples work and can't even point out any of the so called "BUGS"... if ive forgotten to edit something please inform me of these and i will address them... but if you don't have the decency to do that do bother talking crap in threads..

VB 4 may be buggy but our members like it, everyone was getting fed up with how the old vb 3 looked
It may have looked old.. but it was better than the half arsed effort the vb.com team did for the default VB4 style.. IPB, XenForo.. sh1t even PHPBB has a better default skin and they are a non-profit group, you would think that with millions of customers having to pay $300- for the publishing suite that they would have made an effort to create a respectable default style...

I am a fan of VB mainly VB4 hence why i design styles for this platform, i was only pointing out how many style bugs have still gone unaddressed for 6+ months... example... the widget title and widget content style share one stylevar.. that was reported from day one and still not addressed it takes less than 5mins to create a stylevar to fix this.. unfortunately custom stylevars don't export (another great vb BUG).. so i have had to manually / hard code this within my styles.

If you don't like the style don't use it.. but don't go making false accusations about it, especially when you have 3 posts and have not submitted a style yourself.

Good luck then, still a lot of work to do.

I have designed styles for vb 3.8.6 but since we upgraded I can't make a new style and came here to see how others are doing.

Not very well, judging from your skin.

Then instead of randomly saying there is "BUGS" why not post what you are finding so they can be fixed and then everyone is happy. Really its not hard to make a constructive post to help better a product.

Love your theme mate keep up the good work !

For the side note people will need to have 4.0.6 to use this theme 90% chance this theme will not work on anything lower. You will be able to install this theme on 4.0.5 or lower but the theme may not work 100% and people may belive there are bugs with the theme.

Thare are quite a few bugs, the theme is tasteless

Even with vbulletin 4.0.6 the "post reply" buttons are overlapping

Damn shame

Then don't F'n use it !!! SIMPLE AS THAT.

Why don't you submit a style ? then we can pick that apart... since your such a great designer. By the way if you think this is "Tasteless" i would love to know what you think of some of the other styles submitted around here.

Just give up before you make even more of an arse of yourself.

Whatever, you took it personal, not my problem at all.

If I ever submit a style I will make sure it is bug-free.

Tell me why are the buttons overlapping? Or is it just me?

Try doing a search you will find its a bug.

http://tracker.vbulletin.com/secure/attachment/13537/child_forum.jpg

Of course he took it personal, you basically said the style was crap. If you don't like it move on simple as that, unless you have constructive feedback.

lol funny posts, so where was the crime in Meater's first comment? He just friggin pointed out that the style is buggy. He didn't use words such as ugly or Shi**y or anything.

Instead of turning green and hulk smash his head, thank him and say that you will try to fix the bugs JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE ON THIS WEBSITE!

Great skin I loved it but yup it is buggy...

As mentioned in the edited first post... this is an older version of my websites style, as people were removing the footer links and calling the style crap... i will not be releasing this style.

style looks great, oh and

meaters = troll

:p

I haven't had any issues with the style, other than the sticky thread color being white for some reason, but that was fixed as I can see so good job :)

let you know if I find anything wrong. ;)
