View Full Version : vBulletin CMS Widgets - English Prem League Fantasy Football Widget

This is so ridiculously easy, I don't know why it's not been done before. Basically this widget runs the mobile version of the official Barclays English Premiership Fantasy Football website in an iframe that can either sit in a CMS widget or Sidebar block. Your choice. You can change your team, view the leagues etc etc. The benefit of course is that your members don't leave your site.

1) Create an html static widget - call it whatever you want, save it and then configure it by pasting this code in;

<iframe src ="http://m.fantasy.premierleague.com/" width="98%" height="410">
<p>Your browser does not support iframes.</p>
</iframe>

2) You're done.

Note: You can change the width and height by changing their values but the ones in the code work for me.

Now, if you've thought that was easy then think about what you can do with other mobile versions of websites. The BBC comes to mind. Enjoy

For a widget like this, basically any site that has a mobile version intended for mobile phones. The graphic content is low and therefore not resource heavy and will sit easily in the iframe. Try changing the iframe src url and have a play. Here is a link (http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/mobile/) to the BBC Mobile weather service.

I had a problem with the Premiership iFrame because I use a dark Skin and a lot of the Fanatasy league background was transparent, so I added this to the iFrame to sort it out.

That's because it's a new site design from last year. Perhaps you can post a more recent image for us.
