Changing top right section of VB

Since I want my page to have a black background, the Register stuff would be invisible, so I was wondering how I would make it text instead of pictures like over at the Gameplay forums. Is it a hack or is it an option somewhere in VB?

look in the fivelinks template ... you will need to edit the images for a dark background or remove image reference and use text links... whatever you want
