View Full Version : Where can I change the background color of editor buttons?

Where can I change the background color of buttons for BBcode in the editor bar when editing a post or making new posts?

Here is what I want to change:

In the StyleVars under "Editor". You can change the background color, hover color .. ect

Hi Qwk86gn, thanks for the reply. Can you tell me exactly where to change the color for these buttons that you can see are blacked out in my pic?

I tried everything in the Editor StyleVars that looked plausible but no dice.

The buttons are images not Colours to be changed in StyleVars

look in your image folder

Thanks Animemike, I didn't realize they were images. I'll try saving them with white backgrounds, right now they are transparent.

Even so, isn't there a way to edit the background color for the div or table cell or whatever is holding the images?

The buttons are images not Colours to be changed in StyleVars

look in your image folder


In vB 4.0.4 they added Stylevars to change the background of the buttons.

Just search for "editor" in the search box within the Stylevar editor.

If you dont have vB4.0.4 then I would suggest updating and saving from having to edit each image.

Thank you both for the help.

I'm using VB 4.0.5 but for some reason I could not get those StyleVars to work.... no matter what background color I set it still showed as black for the BBcode buttons.

I just made an action in Photoshop to change all the backgrounds to white and then batch processed the whole folder of images, it worked well :)

Glad it worked but the stylevars work on every install I have. Are you sure you are editing the stylevars of the style your using?

Yes i never said the "background" wasnt in the Stylevar :)
