Front-end: Shop list does not display if only one shop is active
Front-end: Item list can now have more or less than 5 items per line depending on the skin
Items have an AdminCP toggle to force it to not be displayed in the postbit. Purchased items are forcibly set to Hidden and cannot be un-hidden.
Items with the Item Type "Usergroup Permissions (Yes / No)" or "Usergroup Permissions (Values)" can now override up to 5 permissions each.
(Pro) Custom items now displays icons from a separate folder from admin-created items
General / Other
The bank balance of each currency can optionally be displayed in the postbit. Toggled by a vBOption setting.
The profile tab can be disabled via a vBOption setting.
The Purchase Notification PM now lists the quantity of items purchased
All PMs sent by this mod now displays the forum signature
Item display in the postbit now shows gift giver and gift message if any were entered, where applicable
All "Yes / No / Default" usergroup permission selectors now have vB-style "All Yes / All No / All Default" buttons
Items now have a toggle for Active. Items flagged as inactive are automatically disabled from the inventories of any member who purchased it while it was active.

vBShop v1.2.0 has been released, and beyond fixing a security flaw it also brings the following changes based on your feedback:

Lite:
"Shop Type" setting in categories: Determines whether the category shows up in Gift Shop, Item Shop or both.

Category Permissions: The same level of usergroup permission configuring options you currently have with Items and Gifts can now also be set for Categories.


Pro:
Steal PM On/Off: A global switch for turning off the PM notification when you've been robbed. A future version will give a Notification that links to a list of thefts instead.

Per-Item PM sending on/off: Have some items that aren't as positive? Don't want a PM sent for certain items? Turn it off with this setting.

Email Notification on usergroup change: When someone else changes your username, you will now get an email notification about it.

Ability to turn email notification off: If you do not wish username changes to be announced, you can disable them with this setting.

Found the Problem
In the read file you mention that vBShop (Lite) requires at least vBulletin 4.0.2

and in here you say that its vB Version: 3.8.x

Also, you need to upload the ENTIRE contents of the upload folder, not just the vbshop file.

In the forum directorywe have the same folders whicch are the same ones in the UPLOAD file of yours.

Hello! I have just installed the lite version of this mod, and I love it. Great work!

Unfortunately, I have a problem. :o When I purchase a gift, the image is broken in my profile. It shows up in my postbit and in the shop, but no luck on the profile page. I've tried reverting my memberinfo template to the default, and it doesn't help.

Any ideas would be appreciated. :up:

Try editing the template that ends with _purchasebit and remove the /gifts bit from the URL of the image.

It's a known issue that'll be corrected in the next version :)

Anyhow, in the VBshop, I would like to create images/gifs for members to get for themselves and to give to others.... 1) which -all-webproduct do I need to accomplish this??? and 2) would like, as an admin to choice the gif/image placement, for example, I would like to show image/gif in recipient members signature box for a limited time... Does this webproduct [lite or pro or both] do this????

Multi-Currency Support
Those of you interested in selling real-world items should find this a welcome change - you can now have a "special" currency that can only be used for purchasing your special items.
"Custom Field" Items (w/ purchase notification)
A new item type has been added, "Custom Item", which in the Lite version is used to house the previous "Gift" items that have no actual functionality. You can be notified when someone buys the item.
Revamped Shop Layout
One of the main problems of vBShop v1 was that the layout wasn't exactly stellar, and having Gifts and Items separate was confusing to members. Both these problems have been corrected for v2.
The layout uses AJAX for adding items to the shopping cart.
Revamped Purchase Process
It is now possible to buy more than one item in one go, via the use of a shopping cart. For that reason, we've split the "configuration" from the "purchase" process.
What this means is, say a member buys "Username Change". Upon completion of their purchase, they will be redirected to their inventory, where they can click "Configure" for the newly purchased item. This is the page that lets them actually change their username.
The main reason why we implemented this change is that it is now possible to set items to be re-usable. To follow up on the above example, a member may use the item to change their usernames multiple times (either infinitely, or until the item expires.)
Stock
Each individual shop can have its own individual stock (and price / currency) of an item.


The following features are missing from vBShop v1.x and will be restored over the course of the next couple weeks:


Lotteries

No data from existing lotteries will be carried over to the final incarnation of vBShop 2.0 lotteries due to the vast differences in data storage and functionality.

Hello Fillip,

Could you tell me if it would be possible to add avatars to the shop? So once they buy them with there points, they're able to use them. Allthough, they should only be able to use those bought avatars.

For example: they have bought avatar 1 , 2 & 3 in the shop. They can now select one of these to use them as an avatar.

Would this be possible?

And would it be possible to make a lottery where they select only one winner every week? (not based on X numbers correct)

For example: members have bought 1000 lottery tickets, one of these will be randomly chosen. They have a code from ticket 1 till 1000, and ticket 776 has won this week, then there would stand: "congratulations (member name) , you have won ...."

I use the lite version now, but I can't really seem a way to get this to work.

Would I be able to do this with the pro version? Or is there any other mod that would be capable of achieving this?

If you post a bug report on our support forum, I'll give it a week or so while you keep digging :)

Just to explain why this is happening: Sometimes, vBulletin create their permissions in a non-standard manner, which requires some tweaking in order to properly get it to work with vBShop.

Or... instead of folks having to edit core vB files, you can change the error_reporting in the mod from:
error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE);
to:
error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~8192);

And it is not necessarily a "bug" in vBulletin - all files were updated to include the new error reporting (as above).

Just upgraded and noticed a little problem with adding items to the cart with internet explorer 8 and 9.

When you click the purchase button for the first item, it shows the item in your cart and marks it as "already owned / in cart" as it should. But if you try to purchase additional items, it doesn't update the cart or grey out the purchase button. If you click the "view cart / checkout" button it shows that it does indeed add the additional items but just doesnt update the cart via AJAX before checking out.

Also, the "hover" feature that allows you to view the description and price of an item is hit or miss in internet explorer. Sometimes it works as it should but other times the box pops up for a split second and then disappears.

I've checked it with firefox and chrome aswell, and its only happening in internet explorer.

Sorry, that's not possible :(

In the Pro version, members can create their own shops and ask people to fill out fields that could be used for shipping information, but there'd be no way to ensure the fields were filled out, and vBShop does not support PayPal.

The closest thing would be to integrate it with vBCredits II Deluxe and set up a custom currency that can only be bought via PayPal, and set that currency (and only that currency) to be usable via custom shops.

Front-end: Shop list does not display if only one shop is active
Front-end: Item list can now have more or less than 5 items per line depending on the skin
Items have an AdminCP toggle to force it to not be displayed in the postbit. Purchased items are forcibly set to Hidden and cannot be un-hidden.
Items with the Item Type "Usergroup Permissions (Yes / No)" or "Usergroup Permissions (Values)" can now override up to 5 permissions each.


General / Other

The bank balance of each currency can optionally be displayed in the postbit. Toggled by a vBOption setting.
The profile tab can be disabled via a vBOption setting.
The Purchase Notification PM now lists the quantity of items purchased
All PMs sent by this mod now displays the forum signature
Item display in the postbit now shows gift giver and gift message if any were entered, where applicable
All "Yes / No / Default" usergroup permission selectors now have vB-style "All Yes / All No / All Default" buttons
Items now have a toggle for Active. Items flagged as inactive are automatically disabled from the inventories of any member who purchased it while it was active.

This is not working correctly in IE9. I had a complaint from a user so I tried it myself on IE9 and it looks like this (the shop)

In IE9, when he clicks on Purchase, it does nothing, does not even add it to the cart. On Firefox, it works correctly. Same with Chrome, Safari, etc. Why isn't it working? Is it not compatible?

Not sure what reproduces it... or produced it for that matter.

When I went into the Admin CP Edit Profile, the one guys user title looked like this;

I just removed the spans and left the Purpleeee and it was fine. I don't know why or how the code showed up.

This only happened to about 6 of the 10 who purchased the user title color.

Yes, it's only fine because I had to go back, see who purchased it, and then edit theirs manually. I so hope it doesn't happen again. Right now the item is out of stock and only 10 purchased it, but if over 100 purchase it and it does this again, I do not want to go back into the database log, find the user ids who purchased it, then go into my user table, find the user id that matches up to the user name, type in their username, see if their user title is broken or not, and then repeat. Would get exhausting after a while! Will let you know if it occurs again and tell you how to repeat (if possible)

Also, a suggestion. Would be cool if you could automate the restock. I had it so only 10 could purchase, right now its at 0 (out of stock). If we could set it to every Sunday, it'd restock back to 10 or whatever amount, that'd be really neat!

Hey, it happened again randomly. The user hasn't even been online to do anything to change his user title.. On his post it just randomly shows his user title bugged again.

Do you have any other mods installed that could conceivably be updating user titles?

I don't see a way this mod can be the cause of the issue, it can only happen if another mod tries to update the user title after the "fetch markup username" function has been ran.

Hello there. Thanks for the great mod. :)
Everything works fine except for 1 minor problem.
When I go to my PMs or when my members check their PMs, we'd see our forum currency and with a 0 on it.
No matter how many points we have in currency (on forum post count), it'll still display as 0 in PMs.
Currently, we're using a Pokemon 3.8.7 theme and only have your mod working.

It's not a big problem but I wanted to ask for help on how to fix this (if possible).
I'd also like to ask if the vBShop currency can be removed from the PM area as an alternate solution.
