Hello,
I'm a new Vbulletin user. We choose Vbulletin as the forums environment for a web based game developed with Symfony framework. We use CAS (Central Authentication Service) for register and login on our game servers.
We would like to make a "bridge" between the existing users database and Vbulletin users database so users don't have to register twice, on the game site and on the forums.
We do not aim a particular solution. Of course, using the same users data for both the game and the forums would be great. But doing so that registration on the game or the forums make a duplicate registration on the other side would fit as well.
I searched the Vbulletin forums and found one thread talking about this : https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=214611&highlight=central+authentication+service (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=214611&highlight=central+authentication+service). But the discussion ended without a solution.
Does anyone already went through this issue and can provide any help? I would be very grateful for any information. Thanks in advance.
