Registration Help ! :(

recently i am having problem with my forum. Some users are unable to register at my forum.

They are getting this message. What can i do to prevent it ?

Sorry, but your IP Address has been listed as a known spammer. You will not be allowed to register.

u migh need to clear the banned ips box maybe u got a wildcard there preventing several ips to reg

If you are using vbStopForumSpam, that will appear.

There's really no way to prevent that when using a 'stop spam' mod, unfortunately false positives are part of the risk, I personally would rather deal with the spam then risk stopping even 1 member from joining... If the person trying to register knows how to use proxies they may be able to register that way but truthfully that's usually too much work for someone to bother with to join.

If you know they're not a spammer just disable it while the person with the issue registers then enable it again.

I use vbstopforumspam also but I disable the username option of it and leave it to check email and ip.

But I want to know can I use other modifications than vbstopforumspam ?
If so, what are the modifications available ? I am using vb3.8.5
