i was talking to a friend and he asked me about the ability
to downgrading from 4.x to 3.x
and i told him , shit it couldn't be

If there is no backup then there is no easy way to downgrade. You can try to a) downgrade manually by altering the db tables changes and reuploading the vb 3x files or b) to do a round about conversion, meaning to convert first to another x or y forum then convert back to vb 3x. But like this you might loose some settings in the process.
