What don't you like about it? Too contrasting? Too repetitive?
I had scan lines before, but the carbon fiber is more fitting.

Nice structure but the white on black rarely works. My eyes hurt and I had to log off asap.

I kind of like the style, but I would kill the 'quick language chooser' if the only language you have is English... unless you intend to add more soon.

I think backgrounds should be either solid colors, or simple gradients.
