vBulletin 3.8 blog on Facebook via RSS

I originally posted this at the vBulletin.com forum but it was suggested I tried here, so...

I run several vBulletin forum installations. I have a Facebook fan page set up to show my vBulletin blog on one of my sites; here is the RSS feed:

Here is the Facebook page:

http://www.facebook.com/DPNowblog

I have two questions:

a) Maybe it's a Facebook issue, but it can take several days before a blog update to appear on my Facebook page - is this normal?

b) I would prefer to show only an excerpt (just a few lines) of my blog updates to drive traffic to my site. Can this be done, and how?

Bump...

Has anyone successfully managed to publish their vB blog to Facebook? It seems to have stalled completely now. The initial RSS feed is accepted and published, but updates are ignored :(

And I still haven't found a way of limiting the feed to include an excerpt of posts rather than the whole post.
