how do you set in the admincp to stop sending out emails for people's birthdays?

It's simply spam, and a waste of resources.

not seeing it in admincp user settings. And the answer isn't that individual users can select to turn this off, since I want to turn it off, globally, period.

Thanks

Further, it'd be nice if the message was a bit more detailed. With a a link to their profile, or the website itself. instead, it just says:

We at TeamPlayer Gaming Forum would like to wish you a happy birthday today!

The "Forum" part should be removed, also. But regardless...wish to disable.

The most obvious way of turning them off would be in the Scheduled Task Manager.

You change the text in Phrases, like most everything in vb. Add anything you like.

I'm not sure it's spam. We get maybe one response a month from some lurker that thanks us. And of course it picks up the dead email addys.

it's not that it's spam. it's that it's just a one-sentence "happy birthday" without any logos, or images, or footers, or signature, or "opt out" links....it's just not professional.

And it most certainly shouldn't be "default on" with no obvious adminCP option for turning it off/disabling it.
