I'm not 100% sure if I am allowed to ask this here if not I am sorry.

But I am having problems with random people not being able to access my site, and I need some traceroute reports to trouble shoot.

So could you visit my site http://www.chattaboxforums.com and if you can not access it do a traceroute report for me

Windows:
Click Start, Run, type 'cmd' and press enter.
Type 'tracert chattaboxforums.com' and press enter.
Right click in the prompt, click Mark, highlight the entire output of the trace route and press enter.

Mac:
Open Finder, Applications, Utilities.
Launch the Terminal Application.
Type 'traceroute chattaboxforums.com' and press enter.

Linux:
Open a shell prompt.
Type 'traceroute chattaboxforums.com' and press enter.

and give me the results....I'm not spamming trying to get hits to my site, were just having a weird problem at the moment where a lot of users can't access the site...seems to be up and down like a yo yo

Working fine here too. No, it doesn't sound like a vb problem. Have them clear their cache and cookies, and try a different browser.

Do you have any firewall (hardware/software) running? Ot other software that might limit the connections?

Yes, it turns out it was the firewall, it would let people on browse a few pages then block them for 30 mins. It's a good job one of my members had my personal email address else I would'nt have know because strangely it was letting me on ok

You should post the solution for future reference. Exactly which firewall was at fault, and how did you stop it from acting up like this.
