About vBOffers
vBOffers is a virtual currency plugin for vBulletin that enables you to generate revenue for your community by allowing your users to complete offers from advertisers in exchange for virtual currency or donation points.
Key Benefits
Thousands Of Offers
vBOffers aggregates thousands of high-quality offers from multiple sources, including sources dedicated to specific geographic regions. That means a wide selection of great offers for your members to choose from.
Easy Installation
Just sign up for a vBOffers partner account, upload a handful of files, install the vBOffers product file and configure a few settings in the vBulletin administration area and you?re ready to go!
Multiple Integration Options
vBOffers can function as a standalone vBulletin plugin or it can be used alongside the popular vBCredits virtual currency plugin. Integration with additional vBulletin virtual currency plugins is planned and for large partners, vBOffers can develop custom integrations.
User Recognition
vBOffers makes it easy to recognize users who have helped your community through a leaderboard, customizable user titles and postbit awards.
Real-Time Reporting
Check your earnings in real time through your vBOffers partner dashboard. You can also set up and manage vBOffers installations for multiple communities through a single vBOffers partner account.
Advanced Offer Optimization
The offers we display to members of your community are constantly optimized. We look at historical performance as well as member-specific behavioral and geographic data to ensure that the most relevant and highest converting offers are displayed to your members.
Requirements
This version of vBOffers requires vBulletin 3.8.0 or greater. A separate version that supports vBulletin 3.6.8+ and vBulletin 3.7.0+ is available in this thread (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=244173).
vBulletin 4.0 support is coming very soon!
Installation
1. Register your site for free here (to obtain the necessary Site Hash and Site Key): http://www.vboffers.net/signup/
2. Unzip the vBOffers distribution file you downloaded.
3. Connect to the FTP of your vBulletin server and upload the contents of the upload folder , maintaining the directory structure. For instance, all of the files contained in the upload/admincp folder should be uploaded into the admincp folder on your FTP server.
Note: be sure to upload the contents of the images/misc/vboffers to the images/misc folder for all of the active image theme folders. Not sure where your image theme folders are? Through the vBulletin admin control panel, you can find these by looking at the Miscellaneous Images Folder stylevar settings.
4. Install the vBOffers Product File: The vBOffers distribution file you unzipped in Step 1 above contains a folder named product. In it is a file with an .xml extension. Log into your vBulletin admin control panel and browse to the Plugins & Products > Manage Products page. Click on the ?Add / Import? link. Then click on ?Choose File? and select this .xml file. Finally, click the ?Import? button. vBOffers will be installed on your vBulletin forum.
5. Configure vBOffers: Once vBoffers has been installed, your vBulletin admin control panel should reload. To configure vBOffers, browse to the vBOffers menu on the sidebar. At a minimum, you must add and save your Site Hash and Site Key via the vBOffers -> General Settings page before you can start serving offers.
For more details about all of the vBOffers configuration options, click here (http://www.vboffers.net/configuration/).

I want to thank you guys for this awesome product!! Installed and working great!!
I just have one question. If I want to insert the link to vboffers manually to my navbar, what is that code please?
I have different styles, and not all has the normal navbar, so I need to know what the code is to manually insert the link to the relevant templates.
Thanks!!
EDIT: I downloaded and installed one of the offers (digsby) to see how the points and 'badge' display. But after installation, no points or badge. Is there something wrong here? Also, when I click on some of those offers (Links) I get a 404 page not found error.
"Not Found The requested URL 3419-4592=7ip8PQ7a8iG4DoLKENrA6A==|T7B28Y51NnOmCnLVbOz2 AaMqLwTqQTa5+ifGjgUeNq/lXYJXyZyQrDXnqBikHi/E8E0svvq7O2PfkuCuotZLzFgBprjQ8e5jzsS12unqbFzQtahZU aJtIkXAgrcL9lySOOmZ5QtL1KxoIsk jvoMQKA==; was not found on this server."

The code to manually place the link on your navbar is:
<td class="vbmenu_control"><a href="$vboptions[bburl]/offers.php?">$vbphrase[vboffers]</a></td>
You can also put it in the quick links dropdown menu with this:
<tr><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="$vboptions[bburl]/offers.php?">$vbphrase[vboffers]</a></td></tr>
All of this code needs to go in your navbar template.

Can you PM me your forum URL so we can take a look at the points and URL issue?
The badge should get posted within 24 hours once enough points have been earned. The necessary calculations are run and generated via a scheduled task that runs once per day. You could certaintly edit this to run more frequently from within your admincp area.

Thanks for that.
My URL is: http://creativx.net/forums/
EDIT: Sorry, one more thing. I edited the template to show the points below the PM notifications on the navbar. But it only shows on the homepage though.

Can you give me your username/user ID from your own forums? We can check on the status. It should be noted that some offers may take some hours to report back to your forums. Until they report back, the earnings and points will not be added to any user accounts on your site.
We have checked the links on your offers wall pages. All of them look fine, and work correctly. I have sent you a private message requesting some additional information so we can double-check the offers delivered in your country. We do geo-target to make sure your users are receiving the most relevant offers possible.
The navbar points display is designed to work on all forum pages. We have tested this as working on many production forums. Where have you placed the code in the navbar template? Can you paste the lines above and below the vboffers code?

The navbar points display seems to be a cache issue. So that is fine. Also the points are now displaying. The badge is not however. (In the Postbit)

I'm happy to hear the points have been credited.
Two reasons why the badge won't show:
1. You haven't earned enough points yet or the option is disabled. Check your vBOffers settings in admincp - you have full control over how many points your users have to earn to qualify for each badge. (User Title Settings)
2. The schedule task hasn't run since your points were credited. By default, our scheduled task is set to run once per day. You can run it manually using the scheduled task tools in admincp:
Scheduled Tasks > Schedule Task Manager > Daily vBOffers Custom User Title Task. (Click the Run Now button)

Can this be integrated with vBcredits? This way, the points earned are added to their vBcredits points?

Yep vBCredits is built right into the vBOffers product. Just select the vBCredits currency option in vBOffers options after installation.

I like the idea of this, but I really think it could be better with internal offers.. For example, joining a specific vBulletin group, or replying to a specific thread, or other integration with other modifications.
All of which are on the offers page, complete it and points are received~

Thanks for your feedback.
So right now, you can use our built-in vBCredits integration to reward points for completing various vBulletin actions. The vBCredits guys have built a very extensive system around that concept. And it's probably unnecessary for us to reinvent the wheel, when they have done such a great job with their product.
If you want a particular modification integrated with vBOffers, just let us know. We are open to any ideas. So if you want vBOffers to integrate with your favorite modifications, tell us what it is, what you want it to do, and we will consider building it. We already have a couple of product integrations done with other modifications on vBulletin.org. Those will be released on here shortly.
Developers of any vBulletin.org modification are more than welcome to use our developer functions to build their own integrations with vBOffers. And they can get paid for it. (information is in the first post of this thread)

I'm not very impressed with the organization behind this mod. I downloaded, signed up at their website and then waited more than 24 hours for approval.
I followed their install instructions and immediately ran into db errors.
Efforts to contact them via their simplistic website were fruitless and no emails have been answered. They don't even have a phone number to contact them.
In my opinion, this is not a professional organization and the experience I have had with them causes me to wonder if they would be legitimate to deal with down the road.
Uninstalled.

You signed up for vBOffers at 11:56 am Pacific Time on August 17, 2010. Your site was approved several hours later and you were emailed an approval confirmation at 5:07 pm Pacific Time on August 17, 2010. In other words, your claim that you waited "more than 24 hours for approval" is patently false.
Finally, for what it's worth, the error you reported to us was not a "database error." You reported a single error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/ernest/public_html/forum/includes/class_vboffers.php on line 18
This error is most commonly seen in PHP4 environments, or when both PHP4 and PHP5 are both present and the file is being sent to PHP4.
While I apologize that you were not emailed right away with information that one of our developers would be looking into this upon his return next week, it's disappointing that you'd question our professionalism when you have posted inaccurate information about the length of time you waited for approval and the nature of the error you experienced.

That's weird. The email system is through domains.live.com and the mx works just fine. Is there a way I can change my email?

Are we able to have members earn paid subscriptions when they get enough? Once my members get enough credits how can I allow them to purchase a paid subscription with the points?

We have internally tested an add-on that integrates with subscriptions to do something similar to this. If you could contact us through the contact form in your account, we can discuss your needs and see if we can put something together for you.

The only email I got was dated the 18th, after I tried to contact you the second time. It was the standard "your account has been approved" email. That also doesn't explain why there is no alternative contact for you folks -- no address, no phone number -- nothing. That's suspect in my eyes.
I am yet to receive ANY kind of response from vboffers.net other than the response posted here.
I run a high-volume, consumer-centric portal, which should be atttactive to the folks who designed your program. It sure looked like a good fit to me until I ran into this. Your response here only further demonstrates the level of committment you have to your product.
