This mod will allow you to add extra groups, besides the admins, that can view the forum when is closed.
The settings for the mod can be found at Settings->Turn Your vBulletin On and Off->Non Active Forum Groups!

Very very handy! Thanks for this. Is it possible you can make it easier though? Eg a selectable usergroup list in the AdminCP?

This is a really good one. If this can be done without any file changes + easy admincp control this is perfect. Can we get an update here?

It does not show the "Alert: The forums are currently turned off!" message to other groups
