What if i want to show it all the time?
EDIT: Perhaps I am missing something, but I tested this mod out, and it is not showing any PM warning when someone tried to PM me.

You can decrease limit, to show it once a day to each person. But that will be very abusing for your friends. I don't recommend such thing.

Please, post screenshot with your settings. It should work with defaults. At least, it work at my site :)

I basically have it in use just for staff members, so when members PM any staff member, it tells them that if their PM has to do with the site, their account, regarding another member, etc to use our support forums, but if it is just for general chatting, to continue with the PM.
Attached is the screen shot.

Settings seems to be correct.
1. Have you setup message text in UCP ?
2. If yes, try to set warning thresold 14 days and make PM from NEW user (whis not sent you PM since you setup thos mod)
tell me results.

It was my simple mistake. I didn't realize you didn't see the message, UNTIL you hit the send button. Then you see the PM warning. I thought you saw it, before hand. Good job.
Another thing that I notice is when I log into a normal users account (one that I created for test purposes), and I click on my name on the forum, I see no option to send me a PM. However, when I am in my admin account, I see the send message option.
Does this mod disable that function for non admin members? They can still send you a PM if they go to your user profile, but other wise, it doesnt give them an option.

No probs :)
Mod can't guess destination nick, until you press "send". Note, that if person send message to miltiple members at once, warning will be skipped too. But such situation is very rare in practice..

To be honest, I think I am the actual only one who sends a pm by clicking on the name from forums. I believe everyone else normally goes to user profile, etc.

This doesn't work with 4.0.5 . It doesn't show " Auto warning for PM " in user cp.

It works. At least with 4.0.6. May be, you have to set more user groups, wich can use this mod. That's done in ACP -> Options -> Private Message Warning.

Hi,
Can anyone confirm that on 4.0.6 that you can select more usergroups from options and when you save that they are actually saved?
I'm finding that when I apply the changes they are not saved.

I was about to try this on 4.1.7, but I guess I will have to wait since it doesnt seem to work. Bookmarked the page to check back later.
Good work, and this is something that I have been looking for.

There is a bug with this. I hav it installed on my forums and when ever I try and click save it says whether I want to leave the page or stay on it. Leaving the page just refreshing the warning box and deletes my text. Staying on the page obviously stays on the page.
