Can someone suggest how to have content snippets in CMS postings?

I have a few hundred documents which have a handful of parts in common for all, and would like to add those content parts as snippets / tags so I do not need to edit all docs when changes are needed.

Is there is such a method / tool / mod ? Does anyone have a suggestion?

I posted on vb.com but got the reply there is no default method to do this and was asked to post here on vb.org

You may be able to do something like use a really strange string of characters and then write a plugin to do a string replace only in the artilces forums and replace it with a template you've rendered. (Could even try Replacement Variables depending on how much text there is.)

As the said over on vb.com, there is no default method so you're gonna have to get creative.

Thanks Lynne.

I have zero experience in PHP and Vbullein programming but have done quite a lot in asp so it's time to relearn. But this is probably beyond me at this stage. I´ll probably hand it on as a suggestion somewhere.

Replacement variables, never used them.
Quick Q: Do repalcement variables do a search / replace content in the dB or do they process the replacement when the page is renderd?

Replacement Variables work when the page is rendered.
