These files can be any image. (png, jpg, gif, ect).
This images can be located on the localhost or on a remote server.

This will be located after the navbar on FORMDISPLAY and SHOWTREAD and FORUMHOME.

yes, but there are requests that want the update of a hack already installed.
- with 50-200 forums it is a lot easier to update a hack vs. redo the work of data input on the new system.

If you aren't using the ad_navbar_below location for other ads, you could move or copy that to the showthread template below the reply button.

Copy and Paste this:

into your forumdisplay template after this code:

Then in the navbar template, find and delete this (or comment it out):

{vb:raw ad_location.ad_navbar_below}

You can leave your ad_navbar_below template empty. This mod generates a template and inserts it into that template.

Mod works flawlessly, Banner is available on forumdisplay, Is there anyway to get it to display the forum specific banner on the showthread templates?

This product still works out of the box on VB 4.2.4 :cool:.

I just upgraded a forum from VB3.8.5 to VB4.2.4 and imported the product XML All was good. All of my banners per forum were still working !!


I updated the 1st post to reflect tested on vB 4.2.4.

If the person has access to see the content of the forum there should not be a problem. This addon does not directly deal with permissions.

Off the top of my head, could you be pointing to a locally hosted image or on a hosting service that you alone only have access to ? This would cause the image not to show up.

In your Admin Control Panel

Admincp => Plugin System => Manage Products
Click [Add/Import Product]
Browse for the file "product-banner_image.xml"
Allow Overwrite should be on
Import
