Upgraded to vb 4.0.3 last night. Haven't made any recent changes.
Big issue I have just noticed, no one can post. When I try to make a new thread it just won't load, when I try to reply it won't load. I saw one new thread made by a member, but the post was completely blank, not even a space where the post content should be?
Any ideas?
Here is a screenshot after I just made a new thread....nothing shows up.

From what version did you upgrade? Can you post the url to your forum with a test account?

I upgraded from 3.8.4.
Everything was working fine about 30 minutes ago.
I can't provide a test account, I'm having a password related issue which won't let me edit accounts, but that's a whole other issue.

I asked for a test account so that we could see the issue first hand. Anyway, it is extremly difficult to pinpoint an issue, much less to fix it, if it appears just like that, out of nowhere and without an error message to point you in the right direction.
Try to open a ticket at your member''s area. Also, try to post at vb.com as well since it is a vb issue and not related with mods.

Very strange - appears to be working now. I was getting some script time out error. Could my server be having issues?

It could be. Try to ask your host about it and see what they will have to say.

The biggest fear of any admin is that there will be server/internet issues when doing something complicated like upgrades. Really a terrifying prospect.

It's running extremely slow, my host said:
It's possible the upgrade did not complete successfully,
leaving your database's schema incorrect. If you recall yesterday,
there was trouble with the post table. It's possible an index wasn't,
leading to very inefficient queries. Can you compare your database's
schema vs. what it should be? The upgrade program may be able to do
this for you, or you can just look at your app's reference schema and
compare it with what you're actually using.

Did you make a backup before upgrade?
What's your forum URL? Can you provide me with a Temporal Admin Account to check the issue?

Try running the upgrader once again. When you upgraded your forum first time, did you get any error at all during the process?

And pay attention to detail like you have to FTP the files in ascii mode.
Any decent Ftp program will filter the files automatically during the transfer.
