Pay per thread

I'm thinking it would be useful to be able to set a particular forum up so that any new threads within it needed to be paid for - only about 10 or 20 cents, or I s'pose as much as you wanted to.

I would personally use this to have a very simple classified forum. At the moment I could do via moderation, but that's very labour intensive - I'd rather it was an automated thing.

Anyone have any ideas how to hobble this together?

what makes you think people will pay by link if they wont for a cheap subscription?

just make your CMS open to all and then close the forums. to all but subscription users only. and use CMS to lead teasers on articles or posts they could read for a small fee Join now to read all link

That's probably the most unhelpful thing I've ever seen. I know my audience, I know that this is a viable option or else I wouldn't ask about it. I happen to have a reasonable subscriber base, this is another feature that may appeal to those who currently do not wish to pay for advert-free.

but as of now i don't know of a paypal mod that does what your asking although i see it requested alot!
