User Information on Thread Posts

Does anyone know the code modification to add additional user information on Thread Posts?

For example, when a user posts to a thread the site currently lists, join date, location, and posts under the user avatar. I would like the list to show 2 additional fields.

Add a user profile field, get the field id (fieldx) and then you would add something like {vb:raw post.fieldx} into the postbit. (There are actually a few threads about this already that go into more detail.)
