Hi,

I've been skinning my forum for the past few weeks and have got it to the point where I thought that it would be good enough to open it up....You Shit Me (http://www.ushitme.com). But, when I go into it from a different browser, the default skin/style is displayed. If I go into one of the forums, then the new "Blue" skin is displayed ??? What have I missed doing. ???

Cheers,
David

Well, I've enabled the Default Style, which then allows both styles to be chosen from the Style Chooser (dropdown at the bottom), but the Default Style is the one being shown by default whereas I want the "Blue" Style to be the default style. When I select the "blue" style, it is not correctly displayed in Internet Explorer or Opera browsers, but, it is displayed correctly in Firefox and Flock browsers ????

In Internet Explorer, the commented out fields and comments are displayed ??? and the corners are NOT rounded.

In Opera, the comments are not displayed and the corners are NOT rounded.

In Firefox and Flock, the comments are not displayed and the corners ARE rounded ???

WTF ??? Any help is gratefully appreciated....

Cheers,
David

I don't know, does everyone else keep the "Default" style or do they delete it ???

wont hurt to and you can always create it again if you want, just go in admincp/settings/option and find style and language i think, select your new style as default, then it will be, then if you still have trouble you can go into styles and templates and actually delete the old default style, this of course forces the new style throughout for sure

if later you need to remake the default you can

with this a guy showed me
In admin Go

Styles & Templates>>Style Manager>>[Add New Style]

Parent Style = No Parent Style
Title = Default
Allow User Selection = Yes
Display Order = 1

Save

OK. Fixed which style is displayed by default.... Options - Style & Language Settings...

And I sussed out why the IE based browsers were still displaying the comments. Bad coding......

Though there I still can't figure out why IE based browsers are not displaying rounded corners. The Mozzilla based browsers (I forget what the actual technical term for the different types are). Firefox, Sea Monkey & Flock all display rounded corners correctly, but, the IE based browser all display 90 degree angle corners ????

Does anyone know why that is ???

Yeah, I'd have to wait forever to get a response tho....

I can't figure out why there's 90 degree square corners in the IE rendered browsers, but, Firefox displays correctly with rounded corners... Has anybody got any ideas ????
