View Full Version : [Request] - Let Users Customize Page Cutoffs!

08-13-2000, 01:54 PM
Hi,

Someone mentioned this over at SitePoint.com's Forums and I thought it was useful enough to post here as a hack request.

It would work like this: each user logged into the board would have the option of customizing how many pages should be displayed in a thread before its cutoff into the next page! And of course there should probably a minimum and maxium, maybe nothing higher or lower than 10-50...any chance of this happening? :)

This is possible, could be in the summer release though. This would be along the lines of the "show posts form this date on" field in the prefs.

However, it could cause soem more server load, having to load the user's choice all the time (plus what happens if the user is not registered)...

If the user is not registered it reverts to the default settings... :)

[could you people please stop using the brackets around the requests?!]

Uh sorry, I didn't know that was a no-no - what's wrong with it any-who?
