A Special Thanks to IB Adrian for putting this up ;)

If everything goes fine this weekend (Family events etc) then come end of next week I should have videos submitted to the vBulletin Team for review. Some of those instructional videos will include:

1. How to Backup your forum via:

phpMyAdmin
MySQLDumper

2. Restoring your forum:

Recovering your LIVE site if problems occur.
Creating a Test/Clone Site via a backup file.

3. Upgrading your forum:
vBulletin 3.x to 4.x including common mistakes to look out for before upgrading.
vBulletin 4 to 4 series, anything to look out for when upgrading from let's say 4.0.1 to 4.0.3

If they are approved then bare with vB while they are converted and uploaded to the vBulletin4 YouTube account. If you have any ?'s about a step in the video please post below and I'll answer them promptly.

Sincerely,

Mike

Very nice, Mike! Thanks for taking the time to do these. I know a lot of users learn easier by actually seeing it done rather than just reading the instructions.

No problem! To most of us advanced owners this is simple stuff however to a beginner or first time purchaser it can be overwhelming! I agree about seeing it in action besides have you seen my backup guide?! It's long and to some confusing, to most it's not however videos let you see it in action and I think many owners/admins even if they don't speak "Southern" English lol will still see the actions on screen so I hope these videos help everyone ;).
