Ranking System - vBExperience (simplified)

I would like if someone could take the vBExperience mod & simplify it. (or if creating another way is easier that would work too) :)

I only want a ranking system (no shop, no achievements, no awards, etc)
Just keep track of forum activity & place an image on postbit that represents their level. (with the option to still add misc points)

Hmm, that might be too complicated also. lol
Not sure how to handle interest rates, checking/savings, donations, loans, etc. Maybe i can turn all of that off.
I just want to measure/gauge forum activity, & be able to add points manually for off site activity. (as of now im trying to use rep points for the off-site activity)

Then based on the level, award an image to postbit.
I have about 24 "Military Rank" images that i want to use.. so using usergroups would be a nightmare. ;)

I think this seems pretty simple, but i could be very wrong. lol
It would be great if the measuring activity part was as in depth as vBExperience, or vBCredits, but not the "extras". (shops, banks, etc)

User ranks would work PERFECT, except that it only counts posts.. nothing else, & no way to add points for offsite activity. :erm:

But just incase, i will look into it. :cool:

I'm using https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=241957. it's the most straight forward thing I could find. but you can't add xp, though you can add sp manually and have a separate manual merit system. I actually replaced XP entirely and am using sp cus I don't want an automated point system. Still not as straight forward for my needs as it could be... maybe it's not what you're looking for either. *shrug*

Does vBcredits work for 4.X? I have seen they are working on a new version but it is not out yet.

uCash doesn't work on vB4 iirc.
@kardus: Yes, they are working on vBCredits II for vBulletin 4 :D

I'm not using vB4, so i'll give Ucash a look. but i doubt it will do much more or different than vBcredits.

What i really need is something even more simple than vB credits.. it just needs to calculate actuvity, & change an image according to the calculations. thats it.!
blank box amount for posts, replies, polls, sign in, referral, etc. and also a blank box for misc where points can be added manually. then based on the total points it adds an image (rank) to thier profile/postbit, etc.

Maybe it is harder than it seems, but im guessing many people would have a use for it.!!

uCash is rather useless without it's uShop companion, but you don't need that!

Yea im using vBxperience now and it is working, but i would still like a Rank addon or something.
I think it would be very simple to add, but i just dont know anything about creating mods. :(

There's the User Rank manager of vB you can use if you want.
