Hi there,

So, I have vBulletin 3.8 hooked in with my sites CMS. The problem I am facing, is when a user signs up (they MUST sign up through the CMS), it automatically adds them to vBulletin.

Now, for some reason, ALL users get this message in their control panel in vBulletin.

When you make changes to this profile, your Parent / Guardian will be notified by email.

If you are over the age of 13, you should not be seeing this message. Please contact the administrator with your username, and your account will be changed.

To print out a new permissions form, please click the button below.

Does anyone know how to completely remove COPPA from vBulletin? (Yes, I have already turned it off through the control panel).

Thanks.

What usergroup id are you adding them to when they register? Do you have Moderate New Members On (vboptions > user reg options)?

They are getting added to ID 2, which is Registered Users. There is no moderation turned on.

If you look one of these users up in the admin cp, do they have the option "COPPA User" set to Yes or No? Do they have the Birthday field filled out a few boxes above that?

It says COPPA User (set to yes). Birthday field is not set.

COPPA is set to Yes, because there was no birthdate set. So, you need to do something in your code regarding one or both of those fields (explicitly set the COPPA field?).

Thanks for that Lynne. Now I just need to figure out how to make it move the birthdate over.

Cheers!
