I'm going to inform the software developers in case it's something simple to fix

Hello if anybody can help I would greatly appreciate it..
today one of my members was trying to post and this is what he received Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/mysite/public_html/includes/class_dm.php on line 1447 .... I asked him how many times a day didn't occur and he stated

"I tried both posting new threads and replying to existing threads a couple dozen times throughout the day and was getting the same timeout every time until just a few minutes ago."

Version is 3.5.8: confused:

Might be best to upgrade your vB version to 3.8.5.
Also, you will need to up the max exec time variable in php.ini , since pages are timing out after 30 seconds.

"If I had to guess, I am taking a shot in the dark here so apologies if I am wrong, it sounds like you have search similiar threads enabled and whatever terms are in his title are insanely common and causing the search to time out.

You can either up the limit of php executing scripts, disable the similiar search."
