Merging two forums into one

I think I already know the answer to these questions, but I will ask it anyway...

Is it possible to merge 2 vbulletin forums into a single forum, for example I run forum X buy forum Y and want to merge all threads/users etc from Y into X.

How about merging a phpBB forum into an existing vBulletin forum?
