Ed:
I was able to get a pop up window to let a member know that they have a new private message when they get on the board.
What I was wondering is if you can see a way that instead of the popup window giving them a text box with a link so they can go to the private messages area that it could have the body of the text in the pop up, who it is from and allow them to reply to them at the same time.
I was trying to add a subroutine to the private.php file and pull the information from the privatercv table in the datebase but kept getting a "There seems to be a problem with the database......" error.
So what I would like to do is have the popup window look into the private.php file, get the information and display a template in that window that has the name of the person who sent it, the message itself and the ability to reply to the sender of the message.
Since all the information is already in the database and you have already written the php file all that would need to be added is a template or two in addition to the subroutine in the private.php file.
Do you see this as doable and would you take a look into it for me.
Much thanks,
Parker
