Hi Folks,
I wonder if anyone can help me with this?
I'm in the process of migrating our site from one dedicated server to another, almost identical specs, just that one is newer and also about half the price, so it seemed rude not to!
The problem comes when I get the databases restored and then I keep seeing the dreaded internal server 500 error, which from reading here and elsewhere is generally down to the host to fix, correct? So, I get on to 1&1 (I know, I know), they said that the server is using 99% memory and there are maybe 21 apache-perf threads, yet there was no traffic at the time as the new site is using a temp domain and is partially closed.
I have disabled all the plugins in the config.php and aside from the server error, the forums were running nice and quick. I logged in a few times via SSH and confirmed that 1&1 were correct, but are they just fobbing me off, or is there indeed a problem with the server, or is it a Vbulletin issue, only I'm running exactly the same setup on an almost identical server with very few (if any) problems, the only difference being that the new server has MySQL5 and the old one has MySQL4?
I'm running VB 3.8.4 PL1, PHP 5, Mysql 5, the server is running Linux Infong ( I think that's the correct name for it?).
Any input is welcome :)
Thanks.
