gif animated avatars and signature problem

I have another forum that runs on IPB and .GIF animated avatars and signatures work without any problems.

However, at vBulletin (4.0.2 Patch Level 4) I am having problems; neither siggy or avatar animates. What am I doing wrong? How to fix this problem?

Any input is highly appreciated.
