inferno vbshout help

I want to disable shouting particular usergroups in the shoutbox but i dont want to hide shoutbox from them ..is there any way out that members can view the shoutbox but cant shout .

You should ask this question in the modification thread. They know they code and can tell you what to change. We have no clue what the code is. I can tell you to use the condition is_member_of, but I can't tell you the name of the variable to use in the condition - you would have to get that from someone who knows the mod.

Here you go ir you want guests not to see the chatbox. I am not sure if changing member to something else will work. This may break your forum too as I am not a coder.

Thanks for trying lynne but the modification author is gone long time ago and there is no support in that thread .. i asked for support in that modification too but guess other people who know about that code is not helping either .. Hope someone helps on this fix..

P.S there is a option to select a usergroup who is banned but can see the shoutbox but it dont work .. it says as notice :: you are currently banned from shoutbox . there is something wrong in it.

Thanks to give it a try mate .. but i dont wanna try something which can break forum .. you more better than the guys who dealing with that modification thread now in mods section after the author of that mod gone long time ago in 2008 :p: .,

You might look into VSA Chat it is what I use now after updates broke Inferno.

There are several but this is the easiest to use and has a lot of the same options.
