Well- after messing around with some of the free themes that were available, I decided to jump in and just rework my site myself.

I edited what seems like most every Stylevar:eek:

I wanted something fixed width, simple design, and easy to read. I also wanted to get rid of the rounded look of vB4

I am still tweaking a few things.. but I would say it is close to finished.

This is a political themed site- so please no discussions on that- just feedback on the theme.

Many thanks!

I'm no expert, so take my comments as just an observer.

I like your header. Simple and nice looking. The site itself could do with a splash of color though. Maybe some bold red somewhere? The layout is nice and simple.

Simple is good, it's a nice looking site. I also don't like the rounded corners because it slowed my board down considerably. I run a political site too http://www.politicalgroove.com for progressives. One thing is for sure, no matter what side you are on there are a lot of hot heads! Good luck keeping the peace :) Great domain name grab too.

Nice site Eric. I like the PG Twitter/ Facebook links in your forum block. Is that just coded html?

Appreciate the feedback. I like the more cleaner look of squaring the edges. Also took out most of the shadows.

I am actually starting to get the hang of the CMS. Its not as readable as some of the Wordpress sites I have run in the past, but it is passable.

Plenty of room on both sides, and hopefully in the middle too! Good Luck:cool:

I have twitter and facebook integrated all over my site, most of which I share how I do it with the community here. Have a look at my profile for my modifications. On the specific block you are talking about though, you are right, that's just standard HTML through a stock side block.
