I'm not sure why vbulletin.org never did this, premium mods section, paid mods, that coders can make available, would definitely keep a lot of free mods supported longer, cause obviously a lot of those have paid versions and paid mods, that someone would have to go out their way to even find. And you know a lot of them go away after realizing it's waste of time.

I don't mind paying for good mods, I do it all the time, and I know others do too, but since they all do it through their website, a lot of times you don't really know the quality, it's not regulated, that's even if you do find them.

I don't know, just how I feel, probably too crazy and too hard to implant, but does it have business potential? Yes.

From what I understand vB.org is taking steps to do this, how big are the steps is the question. This community is a gold mine for IB if they just monetize is correctly, it'll be an entire new revenue stream for them.

Yeah it'd be great for IB because it'd be almost passive revenue stream, requiring little from their side, other than setting it up, if it's in works then that's great, not sure what the hold up is though, (but then again I make same mistakes myself lol). Definitely seen companies do really good providing this kind of service and they had no core audience, where vb instantly has both buyers and providers...

vBulletin.org has always been dedicated to freely sharing resources, and any commercial work had no place.

We will in the near future (this year) most likely add a few features to accomodate some forms of commercial listings, but this will be slowly introduced as we also do not want to reduce the offerings of free work.

But also see one of the older conversations on this.
