How come when someone has the word Nude or naked in the thread title the pics only show up as red x's? but if you remove the work "nude" the pics show up?

Indeed. A url to where that happens or screenshot would be very useful.

Since this is a PG-13 site, perhaps a URL would not be the best thing. :D But, a better explanation of the problem would certainly help. I know I have a few threads on my site with the word Nude or Naked is in the title and I am pretty sure images show up (or I'd have heard about it!).

I don't even have a work nude to remove.. not sure I'd want to, depending on which of my colleagues was choosing to come to the office sans clothing.

I'll try to explain it better if I can,
Say if someone starts a thread called "David Beckham nude" and posts a picture in that thread, it could be a picture of anything not nesserily a nude picture, The picture won't show up, It will only show a red X
http://premium1.uploadit.org/chattaboxforums//Untitled.png
Now if I edit the thread title and remove the word nude, the picture will show up.
Does that make any sence?

Well, your explanation makes sense, however that doesn't happen on my site. I guess I would disable your mods and see if you still have the problem:
Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php
define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);
Perhaps your wife/mom/nana has installed net-nanny software on your computer :)
Seriously, that's what this sounds like - I don't think it has anything to do with vBulletin.
Cheers,
Regs.

Turn vBSEO off in vbseocp.php first.

I think Regs in post #10 is the closest. Either that or a filter on the server (bad mod_Security rule??)

have one of your friends see if the image shows up for them. If so then you knows its your computer. disable 1 mod at a time until the image shows up.

The word "nude" may be in your censored word list.
If so, it could cause a link say, http://img42.imageshack.us/i/nude.jpg/ to change to http://img42.imageshack.us/i/****.jpg/ which would be a bad link and therefore display a red X.

I agree. I have the word pu***, bit**, etc censored. So when someone posts a link or pic with those words, it doesn't work (which I am okay with)

It's an automotive forum. There's no p*ssy cat thread. If there's a comment they are posting or picture they are sharing, it's the other p*ssy ;)
