This mod will allow you to moderate all posts and threads of individual users at your forum. You can also exclude certain forums from the moderation, where they can post without their posts and threads being moderated.

Installation:

To install the mod, upload the includes folder to your forum root folder and then import the
post_threads_moderation.xml file inside the mod package to Plugins&Products in the acp of your forum. Then go to the mod setting option that can be found last in line at Moderation, that says: Individual Users Moderation, and enter the information accordingly to suit your needs. For more info, please have a look at the attached screenshot below.

This is a fantastic idea. Will this work with 3.7 or 3.8 and if not is there a version that will?

I don''t know about that, sorry. I don''t use the vb 3X series. But remove the version from the depency and give it a try and see how it will go. But try it at your test forum first.

Question....

If I leave the forums at 0 (no moderation) and add a user to the other field, then that effectively means that user will have ALL is posts in ALL forums moderated. Correct?

Thanks ... :)

No, you must choose a forum/s where you want the posts/threads moderated of a particular user/s. But if you want it so a users posts and threads can be moderated everywhere and with an options to exclude individual forum/s then I can cahange it. That would be very easy to do. Let me know.

Thanks for the quick response ... :)

With 72 forums, if there's a quick way of us simply being able to select a user who is moderated on all posts for ALL forums, that would be great ...

Thanks.. I'll be installing this tonight. :)

Could I get the definition of this; upload the includes folder to your forum root folder

Each time I've installed something new, I forgot what I've done previously.

Upload the includes folder to your forum folder preserving the structure intact. You can do that via a ftp client.

I am not sure I understood what you meant. This mod doesn''t ban users from a thread but it requires their posts to go straight to the moderation queue.

@cyberlooser, please read the description carefully. To moderate usergroups you can do that at the usergroup Manager at your Acp. This is for INDIVIDUAL USERS. Enter their id''s separated by commas, if more than one user, at the mod settings. The same thing goes for the forums that you want to exclude from the moderation for those users.

Again, to moderate all users use better the moderate option at the Admin Panel when editing groups at the Usergroup Manager. But if you want to do it like that, then sure, go ahead and enter all their uid''s. Whatever works out for you.

You got that forum part right.

thanks alot borbole...

Now I have installed the mod and configured ... but I must say the mod does not meet the conditions which I expected, unfortunately ...

if I have entered all the required User ID's, I would like to moderate, then the user can not write or make a contribution : (

I thought this mod would be the selected users in a thread with a selection option to exclude from the thread ... like as an option, for example, post deleted / etc only to exclude it in this case the user from the thread.

is there such a mod?

This mod works great ...

Unfortunately, we have a member who gets his posts moderated, then when they get checked and released publicly, sometimes he'll go and EDIT the released un-moderated post and put things in that got him moderated in the first place. :D

Is there any way that there could be a checkbox option for this mod that not only forces posts to moderated status, but also has the option to remove EDIT and REPLY TO OWN POSTS functionality from their personal capabilities?

Badger

Sorry for the late reply. That will require extra work and atm my free time is very limited so I won''t be expanding the mod.

Hi,

I have this feature added.. but no one is currently being moderated.
However someone who posts is always appearing as moderated.. their posts and threads have to be approved. (He was being moderated but no need for it anymore)
Why is this happening? I've checked everywhere to see if I have their user id or anything blocked somewhere.
It's driving me crazy!

Any help is appreciated!

Added the choice list instead of putting forums's id

If you don't agree, i will remove the attachment bud ;)

Tks for the hack tho!

Would it be possible to set this mod up with the addition to "include" the forum's you want to moderate users posts and threads?

Right now it is setup to "Excluded Forums". If I have just 1 forum I'm concerned with moderating per this mod, I have to list ALL 100+ forums ID's my board has.
