I'm about to take owner of one small forum but they installed a null version. Now, I want to buy a legal version (vBulletin 4.0 Forum standard) from you. If I must pay extra fee for this?

I might not be on the vB team, but I know you'll have to purchase a 4.0 license, which will cost you, you won't have to pay anything extra than the price listed on vbulletin.com, however you better be careful with the nulled version of the forum.

Yes you need to pay for it now however it would be your forum by doing so and I'm not sure on the legal aspects or ramifications of you taking ownership of a previously nulled board so be careful and next time don't get involved in such matters (imo!).

Just purchase a license and set it to be used on your forum.

you have to just buy a legal license, download to your pc, and via ftp just overwrite all files. make sure you disable any plugins that you have installed
