VB album to create a new thread

Has anyone run across a mod that will automatically start a new thread after a user starts an album?

I did a search under all kinds of stuff like rss feeds, etc and i wasn't able to find a mod for this.

Say a new user creates an album and uploads new pictures. Currently you will only know this by looking at albums. I am hoping there is a way that after a new user creates an album, a new thread will be created in a forum of your choice, letting other members know that a new album has been created.

I've modified that events plugin that merges calendar posts with new threads -- to do something else unrelated to this conversation. (I actually merged it with another plugin, which I extended about 5x.) In theory, I'd like to think this could be modified to work on albums, too. Because I have a photo-heavy site where this may be useful, I'll be playing with it next spring or summer, when I finally get around to that site's upgrade.

I actually don't think this will be too hard.
