I've just added hundreds of new avatars to my vBulletin installation and I'd like to either a) randomly assign one of these avatars to every member who doesn't already use an avatar, or b) force members to pick an avatar if they haven't already chosen/uploaded one previously. My site design puts a lot of emphasis on user avatars and I think it would look a lot more streamlined if everyone had an avatar of some kind. If the a) route if possible, then members can pick or upload a new avatar if they don't like the one randomly assigned to them.
Any help would be much appreciated!

I may have to end up using something like that, but I literally have tens of thousands of members that haven't chosen an avatar. Therefore, assigning the same image to all of them is less desirable to me than assigning a random avatar from a selection of 700+ images. At least it would give my forums a little more variety :).

At the end I have created a mod that assign a Gravatar to users that don't have any avatar selected:

In this way, every user has its own gravatar (based on email) and who doesn't like it, he can add a personal avatar or can upload his personal avatar to gravatar.com (associated to the same email of the registration) and in this way, that avatar will be used everywhere gravatar system is used.
