RANT ON

The VB native albums are the easiest for the users to work with but were worthless for the subscriber base 'till the "All Albums" mode came around. Now that mod is unsupported and going no where.

VB Gallery and PhotoPost are poorly written and barely integrate with VB4. What's worse, there are no tools to import the native VBalbums into either VBGallery or PhotoPost. The lovely staff over there have no clues when such a tool will be available if ever.

If someone has clues or insight on where this may go for the positive, please share . Right now VB4 is pathetically lacking when it comes to a tightly integrated media gallery of any kind.

With you there.
I use Photopost but it is badly supported financially.
It needs a complete rewrite by a software team. Uploading is a joke.
Only I use it, none of my users upload.

I no longer buy updates.
Same with vB I'm using 3.8.x until it stops working ... lol

Can't afford the new prices plus I think vB4 looks terrible.

Rant Over:D

Hi guys,

I'm new to vbulletin, and can't work out what to do to provide basic photo albums for users to save photos that has easy access for all users.

Right now I can't figure out how to make the album I have uploaded visible to guests. I have checked permissions over and over, I've reloaded counters, but just can't get my album to display.

Does anybody know of a good album that integrates with vb4 that is intuitive?

Has vBGallery for vB4 even been released yet?

vbgallery 2.5 includes a script you can use to import your vBulletin Albums into vBGallery
http://www.photopost.com/forum/vbgallery-import-scripts/138613-importing-vbulletin-albums-vbgallery.html

vbgallery for vb4 is supposed to be out 2-3 weeks. Why should the albums to vbgallery importer not be included in this version as well?
