I'm... not too keen on them, since they look kind of poorly put together, and the colours don't really work too well.

Looks like someone took a color wheel and started mixing 'complimentary' colors together. Hopefully, this will not make users look down at vBulletin styling, as vBulletin.org is full of many unique and beautiful styles waiting to be used.

Yeah I agree...very disappointing for sure. Bold colors were definitely needed (the default vB4 theme is sleep-inducing at best), but they went haywire on the color variety.

Why not a simple multiple-blue theme for instance? Please!

I think it's a nice way to jump start people down the path for design but just as we have a mod community to support extensions, it's always going to be the case that sites will need to do their own tweaks to get a really full design. Even the best pre-made styles possible don't do much good if everyone else has them.

They haven't tested them out properly. There are places where they have white for the background and white for the text, so nothing shows up. They also haven't tested to see how it looks with things they have incorporated, like Projects. We ditched their default and just created our own.

This is a good idea considering there's a lot of customers out there not able to make skins this gives them a good selection.

Either way, I guess the dev's didn't beleive their styling system sucked and they wanted actual employee's to kill some time and tell them how bad it actually is.
