Custom Profile Fields in Postbit?

How are you supposed to add custom profile fields in the postbit? Every mod or template modification I have found to do this only worked before 4.02; and since then a lot of people seem to be struggling to add custom profile fields to the postbit.

At the moment I'm using

<vb:if condition="$post['field5']"><dt>Playing:</dt> <dd>{vb:raw post.field5}</dd></vb:if>

But nothing is displayed whatsoever.

It was actually a mistake on my end. With the default postbit now being postbit legacy; I thought you had finally removed the postbit type you use on the this forum.

I've managed to get it to display in the forum, but instead of showing the option selected in the drop down box; it just says 'Playing X' (X being number instead of something like "Restoration Shaman".

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong here?
