Thread display messed up in 4.02

Since I upgraded to 4.02 yesterday, threads look like this:

I tried reinstalling, disabling mods, etc. Nothing seems to fix it. Any ideas?

do you do any template edits that were not product installs?

Your problem looks like something to do with the postbit legacy template, reverting it should fix your issue

Have you done customising work to your templates? try to revert them and see if that would help.

Also, create a new style without parent and see if the problem will disappear when using that new style.

Templates were all reverted, but that doesn't seem to have helped.

It only affects the vb4 default style. Others are fine.
