Date and time all wrong

I have rummaged through the forums and can't find a solution that works.

My server time is: Sun Feb 21 22:10:22 EST 2010
Site time is : All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:11 PM. (when not logged on)

So that is all good, but if I go into the calendar and place an event for say March 1 it shows up as Feb 28.

Any clues?
