Well to place your banner simply overwrite the vb'''s banner with your own by renaming your banner vbulletin4_logo.png and upload it to /images/misc/ folder. Or if you want to change the path of the default logo, go to stylevars in the acp of your forum and then choose titleimage and update there the url path.

thanks borbole but i did as you said and it has not worked as in renaming vbulletin4_logo.png and no changes to forum must be something im missing, unless i have it wrong it's not just the vbulletin logo i want to change but put a whole header bar from left to right.

In your first post you mentioned a banner and I was under the impression that you wanted to add your logo. Anyway, for the header banner try this. Go to stylevars and choose header_background. The option you need is: Background Image. Hope it helps.

Can you post a screenshot of that part where you enter the path to your image?

I don't know, but I thought he was asking about banner ads. At any rate, you need to update to 402.
