It started as a goof, and its just a start. http://www.ReallyWhat.com
I've gotten some good feedback but I want the opinions of some people I don't know. I'm open for all criticism please!
Little story to it... After a friend's house was robbed I helped him stock his freezer with frozen meals. I'm sure you've had a disappointing experience with what has been advertised vs. really what you get.

there isnt much to review , you have minimal customization... if you decide to get a template , let me know so i can come back and review.

Customization... yes. But I'm more interested in the general thoughts about concept of a forum atmosphere, not so much about how "pretty" my site is. Thank you though for posting that (am i right?) I need need some custom template to peek your interest?
Now that I look at your posts to others' want for review of their site, it seems as though you may be fishing for business. So I will disregard your review. But I guess its my fault. I can make it "pretty" if there presents itself a need to do so but I bought a license to test a site for content not for what template it uses.
Oh and www.vbdesigners.com/forums/ ??? doesn't knock my socks off upon first opening of the page. Pawn your wares elsewhere.

well, to be honest I'm not "fishing" for business , perhaps thats how you see things , i have enough work to be "fishing" for business , i just review sites here when i can , then disappear for months , and i never said my site was the best ...
you do what ever you think its good for your site , these specific forums are for "reviews" , if you dont like the criticism , then i suggest you keep away , im just honest with people, and often, some have taken my advice ,and improved their site ( and no , not trough me ) , and if you are wondering how many customers i have "fished" trough reviews ..hmm i think one who wanted some custom icons .
Open for criticism uh?.. right.

I have no idea what your forum is about. Which means no one else will. Explain your site to people since your domain doesn't.
There is no content so..umm yeah can't really say anything else.

Is it a general forum type?

ah crap, I'm sorry Xtrato. I was so anxious for a response that when I finally got your 1 and only I was totally bummed. You are right I need to spice it up a bit. Even if my thoughts are toward simplicity and streamlined. I am open for criticism but I guess I wasn't ready for it. I suck.
KevinL. I guess my Welcome thread does not state the nature of the content? Or you are saying that I should have described it better here for review?
ChopSuey it is general in the way that all products and services are welcome for posting reviews on the forum. I was hoping to be able to right away have threads of what is advertised vs. what you really get. Is Domino's really favored over Papa Johns, in a taste test poll of our own, Burger King says their double is bigger than McDonalds, well by how much? is it better too? I'm hoping for lots of polls.

What ChopSuey meant was is a General forum?
I/Anyone should not have to search for a welcome thread in order to know what your forum is about.
By your last post I assume it is a food type forum? I would not really know that..reallywhat does not say 'food' to me...
Why don't you try something like this https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=231384 and personalize it some?

the notice and the thread about what the site about is great and your buttons are nice and sharp looking.
one thing you can do to help get the word out about your site is to use the blog feature and the CMS along with the forums.
see how i use my CMS. http://animerealmz.net/ and the forums aswell. i even enabled the sidebar on the forums to keep things i want in focus.
things like that will help get the point of you site out. also in the ACP you can change the meta words to better describe your site to serch engines.
