Ok i have to say this. The way the Theme works in Vbulletin is terrible.

I managed to modify themes from tons of softwares. Wordpress, Joomla, etc. But with Vbulletin its always a pain in the butt.

I dont even remember how I added a simple head and footer in PHP in V.3.5

Now with v.4 they are gone. So here comes my question.

WHERE. WHERE in the world is just the index.php file I can edit for a theme?

I really find it a worthless feature to have to do it via the admin side and look template for template. Its terrible.

Ahh and please dont tell me edit the "header" and "footer" from the admin side because that doesnt work. That just shows the html/php inside a wrapped table from vbulletin. I need to edit the mail index file.

Im searching for hours again and it makes me mad that a software so expensive is has such a terrible system where you cannot find anything.

On the themes there is absolutely no way i could find anything called "index" or "global" or anything else. They decide to part the webpage in 200 little pieces.

This is terrible, just adding a header and a footer something that takes 5 minutes on a website with vbulletin is nightmare.

OK I found it HIDDEN under common margin left /right something.

This is so stupid. A 300$ software that hides and doesn't have instructions for things as simple as adding a header and footer.

Im impressed that what most people search is how to replace the logo. things a such which are very basic.

It took me 2 hours to find this with this terrible system. It was before that on the CSS section and now they moved it around.

Is this a rant/blog or do you still have any doubts that you want to be answered ?

Well like I said I found it after 2 and little more hours. I was pissed off when I posted this. But I google and googled and I searched and seached this forum and others, even manuals, everything. I could not find the information. There isnt even information for v4 yet.

Yes I found it. By Default its set to 35 pixeles left and 35 pixeles right which makes everything look boxed or in a wrapped table, regardless of where you insert html. That fixed it if someone else is interested.
