Internet Explorer and VB 4.0

I seem to be having problems with IE and VB 4.0. There's a gray space that fades in and out on most threads. However, the gray space doesn't show up in Firefox.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? If so, how did you correct this?

Does that mean all of your members switched over to Firefox? Why can't the bug be fixed so that every browser is compatible? I mean IE is one of the most popular ones out there.

Even vbulletin.com looks sad on IE. It's not really something that can be easily fixed.

(My members used to have a big 'Get Firefox' slammed in their face in my signature. They know what's good for them. ;) )

Whomever recommended "Compatibility Mode" in IE was on the money. It corrected the issue on my end as well as for my members. Thank you.

It's more of a microsoft issue than a vbulletin issue really. Designing around IE Explorer is a nightmare.
