Featured Threads?

Does anyone know if there are updates to the Featured Thread mod by Adrian, or something that does the same for vB 3.8.4 and/or vB 4.0.+ ?

This has been something I've wanted for years but it always seems to be #11 on my "to do" list, unfortunately. Sitepoint really nailed it on their forum. I'm positive this would be a huge addition to mine.

Something like this for vB4.x would be great.

I suppose articles could fill this need in some fashion with the suite, but I think there is still room for this mod. I'd like to be able to either highlight especially interesting threads as admin or possibly allow certain usergroups to nominate or even highlight certain threads for feature. Possibly add in an option to feature threads which get enough votes in addition. A sidebar of "featured threads" showing the most interesting (selected) topics this week/month would be great too.
