Actually a pretty nice feature. This can be used for the "welcome to the board!" thread for example.
Maybe add permissions for future releases.

When you click on new posts it shows [you] in the title and not the users name, can this be changed?

You need to import the product XML. Then you can use the code [you] in posts and topic titles. There is no button in the editor.
I noticed a little issue with this code. The first time I typed it it worked but when you edit this post and save again it doesn't display the name anymore, instead it just displays the [you] code. How to fix this issue?
Also, for future updates of this mod I would like to see a button for the editor and options to set permissions for the usergroups.

And this will have problems if you cache posts at all, too. I did this one way back in 3.6 and never did get it to work 100%.

Using 4.0.3 and it is working.
A note about it not showing after you edit or first make the post: refresh the page and it has been working for me.

Yes, I installed it on 4.0.7 yesterday. /you doesn't work on my board but [you] does. Searching 'What's New' shows [you] instead of the readers username but it seems to work everywhere else that it is supposed to.

thanks
installed;
[you] displays at New Forum Posts ; but I can live with it
/you works but has an additional * in front of the name; and colour of /you changes to red on the first post; subsequent posts do not work
when responding to a thread, [you] shows as it is; have to preview before [you] is replaced

Could you make a version where the [you] tag only works for X usergroups.

Could you make a version where the [you] tag only works for X usergroups.I used this on April Fools day and it was great! But a couple of members figured it out when BB code showed when they quoted a post in their reply. Is there any way around that? Permissions by usergroup would also be a plus.

You want to use this mod: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=254373
Has many additional features, like usergroups that can use you BBcode, usergroups immune to you BBcode (thes see you as it is), forums to use...

Dom, FYI, str_ireplace is the case-insensitive version of str_replace. You can save some code going that route.
