I was forced to reinstall ibProArcade when I upgraded to vB4. Now my games, scores, categories are all sitting in a backup database. How do I get them over to the new database that the install created???

Thanks in advance

I had no responses to this so I had a friend of mine copy the tables back into the new database. I have all the data there now. I copied the missing files from the old one and then did an update to get everything working.

Games are working but the scores are not saving...for some reason it is taking me back to my home page.

Please assist on this.

John

I'm guessing you run vBadvaced? If so, do a search for vBa in this section, or at the vBa forums for the arcade. If forget the exact fix, but it has to do with your CMPS page.

No I am not running vBa.

Could it be something with me just copying the databases? Should I uninstall the Add On and then reinstall or with that add another database?

What about a CMS? Are you using the 4.0 suite? The fix, I believe, is the same for both. Copying the database shouldn't have changed it, but you can try reinstalling the Add-On, as you would an upgrade, rather than uninstalling it and loosing all your info.

I tried that twice. I fear that my only alternative is to start over. This is a real mess...

Is there a Maintenance program that I can run to find out what the errors are?

You tried the upgrade twice, or you tried the CMS fix twice?

I did a clean install of the software and is just starting over. I was getting more complaints of not having the Arcade up and running versus wanting their scores saved.

I hope that I have no issues.

I will let you know. It will go live today.

Thanks for your help.

I"m having a similar problem. Just upgraded vb3.7 to 4.03, did not upgrade arcade from last years version, now upgraded arcade to 2.7. my database was not complete when I did the vb upgrade; found the ARCADE databases in backup, copied them to new database. Now, the arcade is not seeing any of the games that are in the vb database, nor can I add games (swf) that are in the forum/arcade directory. With a few hundred games, and tons of scores (which I don't care about), I'm baffled as to how to get the arcade to read what's in the database.

Are there any sql queries that I can use to pull out all the old data / games and make it work??????? Been using this for years and years, and now I can't seem to figure out how to attack this problem. I miss my bloody penguins...

THANKS!
